I didnt actually think that this would be an issue, but now that I it was brought to my attention I realize that it could be a huge issue. Especially for the weeks that Arts Fest is going on. Because that comprises 5-6 weeks with set up, the actual festival, and tear down. In that, there is loading in over 160 artists twice, which makes parking tight enough as is. But I am sure that everyone will figure out a way around it and though some people might get grumpy, with the situation, it will all work out.

Part of me just wants to say, you got what you asked for, Pittsburgh. Parking and traffic downtown is always crazy, but with this movie happening it will be absolutely packed. Standstill. Not to mention all the people who will just slow down to try and catch a glimpse of Christan Bale. I'm just happy that I won't be here for the summer, I will just get to boast that the movie was filmed here.

I wonder if this will help the transit authority at all, make it some money for the fall, or just continue to make it worse. Unfortunately I'm sure it's the latter.

As Ariel said, you can't have your cake and eat it too. Pittsburgh wants this film to take place here, for many good reasons, but then we need to live with the consequences it brings along with it. There's never going to be an amazing opportunity or event that doesn't in some way inconvenience someone, so it's time to just suck it up and deal with it. We know it's going to happen, so now just plan for it ahead of time and push through.

People shouldn't complain. This is just what happens when a movie comes to film in a city especially a movie of this proportion. People should just accept it and be happy that a movie this big wants to film in Pittsburgh. I know if they were filming in my home town I wouldn't be complaining at all! Don't complain because in the end of the day a huge movie is filming in your city and you can brag and boast all you want about how you say Christine Bale in his batman costume and got a blurry far away picture of him.

oh my god! I saw the title of this article, and i knew what it would say. and this movie totally will. The sheer amount of people who will flood into Pittsburgh to be a part of this movie, and many others will fill the city up to burst, so to speak. parking, in parts of this city is already difficult enough to deal with, and this will only complicate the matter. the benefits however, will outweigh the costs, because the business which this movie will bring is going to be very helpful to the city of Pittsburgh.

My first thought was "what parking?" This show will indeed make parking in Oakland more difficult than it usually is, but we have to look at the big picture here. With the situation in the economy, it is good that a movie is being made in Pittsburgh. This is bringing much needed work to the people in Pittsburgh and that is important. Maybe we will all have to learn to walk a bit further than usual, but it will be worth it!
