I'm not surprised that Evan Rachel Wood would drop out of this production, considering its continuous delays. I really think it will hurt ticket sales though, as she is a very big name and would certainly attract a lot of people. However, if someone equally as well known is cast, it will be another reason for this to make it to the news, although most of the news about it seems to be bad news, and more disappointment.
This show can't seem to catch a break. However, I do agree with Sarah that it understandable for a working actress to leave a production that is continuously delayed. I hope that eventually this show gets off the ground because with all the press it continues to receive it has become incredibly intriguing to me. Hopefully they will be able to hold unto their other cast members so that they do not have to start the entire rehearsal process over again.
