Elizabeth Marvel Plunges Into the Briny Deep of Character
NYTimes.com: "THE actress Elizabeth Marvel was 30 and newly arrived in Los Angeles a decade ago, after years on the New York stage, when producers of her CBS television series “The District,” began making a very Hollywoodish demand: Get Botox."

Ms. Marvel sounds like an incredibly talented, smart, and headstrong woman. Her decision to reject botox in favor of keeping her slightly aged face was very brave--and as it turns out, very smart. I wish more actresses chose to ignore the pressure to get plastic surgery and botox in favor of a more natural appearance. Not only would it be healthier for them, but it would be healthier for their audiences. No woman--or man--should look on stage or at a tv and feel they look old because they actually look their age.
I do have to admit though, that not all women could have the kind of career Ms. Marvel has had without botox. She sounds like a truly gifted, and very hard working actor, who has really come into her own.
