Despite Blizzard Warning, Broadway Shows Are Still a Go

Yahoo! News: "A blizzard warning has been issued for New York City Feb. 10, but theatregoers should expect business as usual for Broadway shows on this two-show Wednesday.
The Broadway League made a pre-noon announcement that there are no cancellations of Broadway shows, but added, 'If patrons cannot get to the show, they should contact their point of purchase for exchange information.'"

Yes as corny and cliche as it is, the old addage of 'the show must go on' does still hold true. True I do understand that if the weather is too bad that you cant make it to the show thats one thing, but how it would end up working out is that Broadway would cancel their shows and the weather would be fine. I think that it is great though that all of those shows are will to exchange their tickets, because that gives people a greater incentive to keep their tickets and get to the show, since they know that either way they will end up getting to see a Broadway show.

This is truly an example of “The Show Will Go On” no matter what happens. Sometimes I think that this attitude is not good because they put peoples lives on the line. Like great, you can have a show, but then your audience and your cast and crew can’t get home safe. I also understand that you have to have as many shows as possible to get back the money you invested in the show. By still having the show I find it cool that they were giving out cheap tickets. I never thought that a snow storm would result in cheap tickets.
