Questions for Dim Bulbs Keeping Broadway Dark: Jeremy Gerard
Bloomberg.com: Muse: "Thanks to a judge, I now have ``The Grinch'' added to my entertainment options this weekend, here in the cultural capital of the world. It seems incredible that rumbling gangs of stagehands (the Jets) and producers (the Sharks) have blundered into the dumbest strike in decades. I have some questions for these street-fighting characters dithering while Broadway burns"

The writer here is calling out flaws in a smooth negotiation process that are causing the strike to prolong. It's harsh, but is it really surprising? This strike is centered are what some considered flawed rules to begin with, of course there are going to be rough negotiations.
Yeah, this article really just seems to be fluff with a lot of sparkle and out of context quotes to make a public that wants to criticize the strike process happy. Some of the points are quite a bit off, for example saying that Equity is walking out with local 1, when in reality they are not going to work because their show is not open! Some of the flaws are there, but you can't make everybody happy all the time, especially amidst a strike, so there really seems no point in this article.
The reason I read this article was that opening line. For some reason it is funny to me. But to further that the reality of that statement is startiling to me. I wonder if it realy is going to come down to force.
