Broadway's Thanksgiving-Week Shows Won't Go On

NPR: "Labor problems prompt the League of American Theaters and Producers to cancel Broadway performances during the traditionally profitable Thanksgiving week. Talks on Saturday and Sunday with the stagehands' union ended without agreement — and with no schedule for more negotiations."

a positive way to look at this lack of broadway shows to see is that many people are going to go see off-broadway shows. this will give those smaller budget and scale shows a chance to get some big audiences and recognition.

I'm actually really surprised that this strike did not get settled before the break. This season is when Broadway gets most of it's tourist and income. You think that this would be the time to settle this so they can pick up the most income. Dont' know if they are stubborn or just waiting for the other side to give in.
