Stage Review: CMU steers Checkov's 'Three Sisters' into realm of melodrama
Post Gazette: "We grow old -- it beats the alternative -- but great plays don't. Over time, we just become more and more like ourselves, but great plays expand, revealing more depth or new facets in which we can see ourselves reflected."

Having seen the play, I was surprised by this review. It says very little about the acting or set and only makes general statements about the work. I would have expected a professional reviewer to provide more information and make the work more interesting to read.
I just wanted to say that I appreciate this review much more than the one published in the City Paper. Rawson provides so wonderful insight, and an interesting take on the direction of the play. Unlike the other review. It is interesting that so many people can critique plays that can't even seem to write a proper review. Thanks Chris Rawson, for keeping the standard high!
