Maglev's alive, but is it well?
Post Gazette: "Plans are still alive -- barely -- to develop futuristic, magnetically levitated trains to whisk passengers between Pittsburgh International Airport and Downtown at speeds reaching 240 mph. But whether a high-speed maglev system will ever be built here or anywhere in the United States in the near future remains uncertain."

This would be great for two reasons. Maglev is a great energy efficient mass transportation method (especially general dynamics inductrack method, but they seem to be focusing more on nasa at the moment). It would also be great to be able to get from the airport to here in less than 47 minutes.
