Live Nation could lose money on Madonna deal
Reuters: "If Madonna leaves Warner Bros. for an all-encompassing $120 million deal with Live Nation -- as the Wall Street Journal reported this week -- the concert promoter will struggle to make money on the deal, according to a Billboard analysis of the numbers."

I love Madonna, but this article makes me a little bit sick. It's amazing to think that all this money is being circulated on just one artist, and that this level of commerce and intake by celebrities is happening everywhere. If only this sort of money could be doing something more productive than the up-keep of Madonna's estate and the wealth of other business men.
I wonder what initiated this whole issue for Madonna to switch. Madonna has the estate the records at the pace she wants and Live nation will almost undoubtedly advance the cost for a tour weather its to warner bros. or her own company.
What can one do with $120 million. She's 49 years old and she can still bring in so much revenue. That's amazing. Well no matter how disgusted I am about the over paid celebrities, it is her life and what ever record deal she wants to sign, it is none of my business
it is in many ways awe striking to see the amount of money that high profile artists get paid and with someone as iconic as Madonna I am not in the least bit suprised with what the figures are however, it does make you think about with these high profile artists, the kind of shows they put on also reflect their price tag. Madonna for instance has such an incredible show and so do many of the iconic performers of this generation and past... it only makes sense that they get paid for it...
Live Nation has really been growing lately and works really hard with the One Campaign and so if you are a "supporter" of the One campaign you can get free tickets, just so you know. But this could be a really tricky deal since there are many holes in the requirements imposed upon Madonna, especially with respect to touring. These sorts of agreements really seem like there is a lot of money to be made, but really, most of that all gets spent and there is little left.
