First Voice Festival
Pittsburgh Courier: "As ground is being readied to pour the foundation for the August Wilson Center for African American Culture, a 10-day celebration of arts of the African Diaspora has primed the foundation for the institution’s future festival forays."

This is pretty cool, and it seems like they are trying to promote what August Wilson himself believed, that there needs to be a black level of black theater everywhere just as there is white. I wonder though if in this festival they are going to have color blind casting, or not like Wilson would have wanted. This was a contraversial point for many when talking about Wilson, but will the August Wilson Center continue that radical part of the fight?
