I would like to inform you of a new and unique learning experience that is available to your advisees this term, Thanks to a grant from the Steinbrenner Institute for Environmental Research, I am happy to be able to announce that “Environmental Justice” is scheduled for March 30, 31 and April 1.
As coordinator of this program, I am excited to share information about this “weekend course immersion.” We have planned an intellectually challenging weekend that will be devoted to this central environmental issue and have invited nationally known experts to help us analyze and discuss it. This program has a dual design: it is a lecture program that will be open to the campus community and the general public as well as a University-Wide Studies course (“The Problem of Environmental Justice, 99-521) that CMU students can enroll in and earn 3 units.
Could you please forward this announcement to your advisees? There are still seats available in this course, but we expect that student numbers will grow with your help in getting the word about this course opportunity to your advisees.
We also hope that you and your colleagues, associates and friends might attend this event as well. We invite you to spread the word with any interested party.
