SOUND INTERN – Maine State Music Theatre, a CORST X AEA resident summer music theater, is looking for a Sound Intern for our 2007 season. Season: West Side Story, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Grand Hotel, 1 show TBA, 2 Children’s show and 3 Concerts. Responsibilities include: working with Sound Designer and Apprentice to load-in and changeover all shows; running backstage audio for every performance, primarily handling wireless microphones; assisting with special events; designing and running the intern show; attending intern seminars and workshops; attending regular maintenance calls; and assisting other departments where need be. We offer weekly stipends, weekly meal per diem, free housing, the beautiful Maine coastline and the chance to work with seasoned professionals. The dates of employment are May 22 - August 26, 2007. All employees MUST have a valid driver's license and be able to lift 25lbs. SOUND APPRENTICE - Maine State Music Theatre, a CORST X AEA resident summer music theater, is looking for a Sound Apprentice for our 2007 season. Season: West Side Story, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Grand Hotel, 1 show TBA, 2 Children’s shows and 3 Concerts. Responsibilities include: working with the Sound Designer and Intern for the load-in and changeover for all shows; assisting with special events; assisting the sound designer with paperwork; leading crew calls in the absence of sound designer; leading regular maintenance calls to repair equipment; assuming the role of mixing the mainstage shows after opening; and designing and running benefit concert. We offer weekly stipends, weekly meal per diem, free housing, the beautiful Maine coastline and the chance to work with seasoned professionals.
