I do think it is very important for the theater community to show its support of the gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transgendered community. I think a lot of the people look to the entertainment community as a role model, though more so with the movie industry than the theater, so it would be very nice to have something similar involving the film community that is publized more.
I think it's nice to see this type of support, not just for this group, but for anyone. Theatre can be so motivational and by showing support and publicity for the gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transgendered community, they may really have an effect. It will be interesting to see who else follows suit.
