Arts groups should groom new leaders

Courier Journal: "If you own a family business, one of the potentially touchiest subjects is who is going to run things if something bad happens to the boss.
I was thinking about this a week or two ago, when Melvin Dickinson, the co-founder and director of the Louisville Bach Society, was hospitalized with a urinary tract infection that kept him from conducting a concert. Thankfully, he seems to be OK now. But his unfortunate circumstance raised an inevitable question: Could the Bach Society go on without him?"
