I've been scouring the Greenpage for some more articles on safety review, particularly in the entertainment industry. It is so sad that it is usually after tragedy occurs. I completely understand why EA cannot specifically release the details of their new safety procedure to protect its efficacy. However, I have been looking some sort of template or outline of the "Avoidance" process. We discussed in PPM, the process of crisis management which is Avoidance, Action & Mitigation. Action is something that is usually pretty specific to the event, but I think the avoidance procedures of an organization is very transferrable to other organizations, especially in similar size and scale. It is a really tough conversation to have, but I think we are now in a time where theatres, even small venues need to be discussing this. I know smaller theatres do not have the same resources as large companies, but I think even small protections can be put in place to help secure and avoid violence in the entertainment industry.
