Talk about the future. Although, it seems like a more suitable name for this article would read, "The Future Technology of College Students." I understand that by the end of the article it explains that you can use these items in a "Technology Tailgate" in order to raise. money for your maker space, but the article seems to focus more on the inventions themselves. That being said, if I was at an event where these were on showcase, I would definitely donate to your maker space. All of these inventions would make my life as a college student that much easier. Think about using the box of a pizza to heat it back up, genius. Even better than that, order a new pizza and have it there in no time with the help of a drone. Or get it delivered to you at the counter via a model train. All of these would be lovely to have in college.
Cooking a pizza with a cardboard box weirdly enough takes me back to my time as a Boy Scout camp counselor because oddly enough it one of the things I would show kids how to do, and it can definitely be kinda amusing. The model train idea seems really cool to me because it would be relatively easy to set up and also operate and still be pretty damn cool. The 3D printed pancakes could also be really cool as it would be a very easy way to see the cool ways to use 3D printers for task that you normally would not think about. That said I think that one takes the most in as far as investment of time and money to make it work, but damn it be cool. I honestly like all of these ideas but the drone one and that it mostly due to the fact that really just don’t like drones that much, but and of these things at a party or tailgate would be awesome.
