Silent Shakespeare | Synetic Theatre Company
Live Design: Director/performer Paata Tsikurishvili and choreographer Irina Tsikurishvili came to Washington, DC, from the Republic of Georgia in the 1990s. They founded a theatre that opened its doors in 2003 with Hamlet…the rest is silence, and silent it was, or at least wordless. The Synetic Theatre Company has continued to do the Bard sans dialogue but with evocative soundscapes.
