Back in the day, when I was in high school, I was gifted with being the sound director. When we were in musical season people would do their best to say away from me as I was always on edge because of the microphones. I was never able to complete figure out what the problem was, it could have been a number of things but most likely the quality of microphone we used. I used to run a 100s of feet of BNC cable and the amount of signal that was lost is crazy. Im glad to see that my days of wireless microphone are over, I am also happy to see the industry doing research and developing better methods for RF frequency and narrowing down what interferers with the frequency and limiting that from the equation. I have many friends that hope to pursue sound as a perfection and I hope that by the time they are in the field the technology will have improved, and more discoveries have been made to eliminate interference altogether.
