Accumulators add functionality to hydraulic circuits
Accumulators content from Hydraulics & Pneumatics: Hydraulic accumulators are one of the most underutilized tools in the fluid-power chest, which is unfortunate, because they provide myriad advantages to a hydraulic system. Accumulators are often misunderstood, especially as it relates to troubleshooting, but the principles of their operation are straightforward, even if the mathematics used in their specification is not everyone’s cup of tea.

This is pretty neat. Although I am still not sure I fully understand what hydraulic accumulators do, the article opened me up to the idea of hydraulic circuits, which I was not familiar with before. Non electrical circuits are things I am abundantly interested in, so it is quite cool to see them in play in the hydraulic world and I look forward to looking at them more in the future to see what their potential uses include.
