Navigating Hollywood's Cutthroat Corners with Ms. in the Biz
Women and Hollywood: Helenna Santos-Levy launched her online magazine, Ms. in the Biz, just six months ago, with the simple goal of connecting women working in Hollywood with one another. Today it has 61,000 readers in 151 different countries. The magazine, which is written by industry professionals for industry professionals, covers a range of topics from career tips to fitness, wellness, beauty and fashion to practical tips on using social media, auditioning, and becoming a repeat-hire.

This makes me so sad. I've been reading articles on the green page for 4 years and even before that else where talking about women not being prominent enough in film and TV. I'm sick of it, it is 2013 why can't people just get over the fact that people are different and hire the right person for the job not based upon gender, race, sexual orientation, or any other factor that a person happens to identify themselves with. We are supposed to be the industry that reflex the rest of the world back on itself and pushes the rest of the world to understand something about itself so why can't we just get our act together and start to be progressive? Also don't even get me started on the fact that it is "progressive" to have a woman or person of color in a leadership position! Ugg I'm done, I've had it, I applaud this magazine for trying to solve the problem but it also makes me sad that there has to be a magazine that has to connect woman in Hollywood because there are so few of them. Feminist rant complete.
