USITT Releases Session Schedule, App for 2014 Conference

Stage Directions: USITT has released the schedule of the more than 200 sessions it will present at its 2014 Annual Conference & Show Expo in Fort Worth—and they’ve also released a mobile app to help people schedule them all and share the news. The free app will help attendees browse and schedule their sessions, select booths to visit on the show floor and tap into conference updates.

I wonder if this year's app will be any easier to use than last year's? I totally understand the point of having an app directed at a conference like this, as it can be a great help to be able to look up one specific thing, add events to your own calendar, or find a booth on the expo floor. But I have yet to see a GUI for a conference app that really impressed me. The one for AES has a lot of information, but kept giving me unnecessary warnings/messages, and was often slow to load. Especially with this year's USITT being really big, hopefully the information will be streamlined to help make it actually useful to attendees. And if not, there's always paper.
