Mapping, Planning, Organizing
sightlines.usitt.org: The European event managers call organizing events “scheming.” In America, the term has a different connotation which causes us to rephrase it. When we hear the term scheme, we think of a cartoon villain with a black mustache and a damsel tied to the railroad tracks.

The new European term seems a little odd, but it combines the jobs they do! This is a great opportunity for not only people in the theatre industry, but also for other areas of business. This conference looks like you will be learning a whole lot about every aspect of putting together an event, and lots more! We need people in this world who know how to lead and manage events properly! While it is mostly about "scheming", there will be some new technology that will be presented, which is a great way to keep up with the newest stuff!
