How To Write Your Resume For An Applicant Tracking System

Come Recommended: As a 21st century job seeker, it’s important to understand the status quo for resumes: around half of all mid-sized companies and almost all large corporations use some type of applicant tracking system to review them. In other words, a computer is screening your resume way before a human employer sees it. Employers receive so many resumes every day; the systems are simply necessary.

Job applications now have become a game of cheat the system, that is now literal. I don't totally approve of employers using a computer system to sift out resumes. I understand the sheer amount of applications received can be daunting and seemingly impossible to sort through, but computer systems are not perfect. It is very possible that the system will sort out very qualified applicants. It also means that people who are not as qualified can cheat the system.
