I have seen three Cirque du Soleil productions and all have a serious element of danger involved with them. That is after all, one of the selling points of their shows. But there should be no excuse for this if it turns out to be a fault in the rigging. The stunts are important to the show, but the actor's safety is more important. It is also strange that there was an accident just a few days before this. This could have been because of ongoing sub-par safety checks, which there is no excuse for. I believe that it would not be a bad idea to bring in a third-party with dangerous shows like this to perform checks more often.
