Review: Stage version of 'Les Mis' worth the trip

TribLIVE: So much “Les Mis,” so little time. Granted, there are really only two entertainment options vying for our attention. You could count the original Victor Hugo novel or the several dozen films that range from silent black-and-white to made-for-TV versions.

I really wish i saw this show before I saw the movie. It would be interesting to see how they did some of the scenes like Russell Crow's death. The media they used in the show sounded interesting. In the movie I was less then impressed, especially with the sound effect they used for his fall...
Usually people say the first version of something you are exposed to (movie vs book vs play/musical) is what you like first. I hope thats not true.
