'Three Theories' performed by very impressive ensemble
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: Opposites don`t always attract, or even mix well. But although science and the arts are fundamentally different in important ways, people in one field are often taken with the other. Choreographer Karole Armitage created her hour-long "Three Theories" in 2010, after reading Brian Greene`s "The Elegant Universe." She was inspired by the poetic implications she felt about Relativity Theory, Quantum Mechanics and String Theory.

This sounds like a very interesting piece. The combination of science and art sounds like it gives way to a better understanding in both realms. The collision of these two worlds is important for many reasons - one being a more fulfilling way to create an understanding of the forming of the universe. When thought about, it is truly a poetic thing. There is much room to create dynamic movement that represents it. Explosion and fanfare are abundant, which must create for an interesting look at explanation through dance.
