The Odyssey Project
The Odyssey Project
Kaf Warman
Wells Studio
Monday, November 14
4:30-5:30pm Conservatory Hour
Performed by Movement IV; Masks created by Design II
Music by Denver Milord and a band of Sophomore Actors/MTs
As a student who constructed a mask and did the lighting for the piece I enjoyed the performance yesterday. When I first found out we were doing the Odyssey as the mask piece I was quite skeptical of how this piece could be done with movement when the storyline and plot is so complex. Especially since last year the story was Peter Pan this seemed like an incredible jump. The class did a good job of really toning down the content to the basic key points that came across well and probably could have been followed along by a viewer who was not familiar with the story.
