This show sounds interesting. It seems that they are doing their part to bring people back to theatre. In this article it says that Men think they are going to see stand up. Are men the problem? Is it men that have stopped going to the theatre? I think that this would be something very interesting to research. Maybe men are the problem, but then again aren't we always.
This is the mark of great theatre, right? Something that can appeal to both sexes and get more of both into the seats. I'm sure there are some very low-brow jokes in this show but at the same time I don't feel that should diminish the power of this piece. ANY time a performance can connect with its audience by reminding them they're not the only ones going through something it's not only profitable but powerful, too.
