Audra McDonald at Carnegie Hall
NYTimes.com: Audra McDonald’s Carnegie Hall concert on Saturday evening had the feel of a homecoming celebration for a prodigal daughter: in an unbroken wave of adoration, all was forgiven. Ms. McDonald’s crime, if there was one, was her temporary abandonment of musical theater for television. For four seasons, while playing Dr. Naomi Bennett in the ABC series “Private Practice,” she more or less disappeared from music.
