Review of The Agony and Ecstasy of Steve Jobs show by Mike Daisey in New York

chicagotribune.com: Like any addict in recovery, Mike Daisey has learned that admitting the sin upfront is the crucial first step. And thus, seated behind a table at the Public Theater, he spits it out as if a 31/2-inch floppy disk were stuck in his digestive tract: "I am a worshipper," he says, as if making his first declaration at Alcoholics Anonymous, "in the House of Mac."

I am surprised that this show hasn't had more press leading up to opening, since the public's season was announced before Mr. Jobs' death and that fact is now bound to have an effect on the show. It think it will be really interesting to see how the public reacts, since Daisey's performance sounds like a not-necessarily all good take Jobs, and this close after his death I feel there is still a sort of "halo" surrounding him that this play is going to break. It will certainly make for an exciting conversation.
