Not a lot of new works around this time of year it seems. We always talk about how Pittsburgh is such a mecca for new works, but maybe it is just a mecca for redefining previously written pieces. These have something about them (previewing a play from Ireland, in a medical museum, et cetera) and there have been a number of other articles on the green page about companies reinventing shows (think Shakespeare through movement) but I do not feel like as many entirely new works are being produced here. Is there just not an audience?
