Michael Friedman is one of those composers I'm really excited to watch. I really loved his work on Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, and I think his style is really contemporary and just off-beat enough without being off-putting. This new musical of his sounds less zany than "Bloody Bloody" and the other shows that Les Freres Corbusier (his theatre company) tend to put out, but it might be a great chance for Friedman to show the world his style, and prove he can write more than one kind of musical. I look forward to seeing the results.
