Big Boi thrills crowd at Carnival concert
The Tartan Online: "With all the activities going on during Carnival, some events slip through the cracks. The Big Boi concert, brought to us by Carnegie Mellon’s Activities Board, was one event that refused to do so. AB is no stranger to pulling off some stellar concerts. Its past Carnival concert successes include performances by The New Pornographers in 2009 and The Black Keys in 2010.

This article's rave review seems contrary to what everybody whom I know that went to the concert said, i.e., that it was not suited for the CMU audience and was not particularly interesting.
It was a lot of fun to be involved with the technical elements of this concert, however. AB Concerts brought in Hollowood for audio and an outside lighting company from Ohio. The people were nice and it was a good opportunity to work with equipment and practices that differ from the SoD and AB Tech.
