Ben Stiller, Edie Falco in John Guare’s ‘House of Blue Leaves’
NYTimes.com: "BEN STILLER’S first memory of the theater was tagging along with his mother, the actress Anne Meara, to rehearsals of John Guare’s dark comedy “The House of Blue Leaves” in 1971, the year it made its Off Broadway debut. Ms. Meara played the loud-mouthed Bunny Flingus, and Bunny’s fake fur coat was the boy’s earliest cue that this grown-up thing called work could include imaginary worlds and garish get-ups (see Zoolander, Derek).

its always fascinating to learn the different reasons why people find themselves in their art . we all have a different story of how the hell we ended up doing what we do. but most of the entertainment based careers always seem to have the best stories. whether it be from a basis of childhood or even just a small [part of life that bulged and pushed you on your way we all end up coming back to it in the long run. we all have a reason for doing what we are doing and it is really good to see this as a real arc/bookend scene for stiller i find that most fascinating.
