Tenuous economy keeps Pittsburgh arts groups on their toes

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "Associated Artists of Pittsburgh wined and dined a dozen arts and travel writers from around the country, and that marketing made a huge difference last year: Attendance at the Shadyside-based group's exhibitions and events zoomed from 6,330 in 2009 to 158,517.
'We got some serious coverage beyond the Pittsburgh area,' said Susan Sparks, vice president of the Associated Artists' board.
