Stage review: Glass is half empty with 'Circle Mirror'

Post Gazette: "Audiences like plays about acting: We enjoy taking a peek backstage because we admire actors, but we also like to see actors portrayed as the goofballs we suspect they are. Actors like plays about acting, too, because, well, they're actors.
Audiences also like plays about self-discovery and rebirth, because they speak to our optimism. Playwrights like such plays because audiences like them.
And third, theaters like plays with small casts.
