Backstage: "On a blustery fall afternoon, Andy St. Clair slips into an empty club, with rows of tables, wooden chairs and a bare stage awaiting its next bit of comedy magic. It doesn't look like much, but the stage is something of a shrine."

Due to my ignorance, I am embarassed to say that I had never heard of Second City before this article. If asked I would have been hard pressed to give an explanation as to what it was. But I loved this article, it was well written and interesting. I enjoy hearing what older well respected actors have done in there past, I never knew that Alan Arkin was a comedian let alone a Second City performer. I also think its clever that it tends to be a training ground for future SNL casts, giving a deeper bond than I could imagine. I agree with the belief of why they've been able to stay successful for so long, is because they are relevant, and that nothing is taboo. I hope that one day Ill be able to experience Second City first hand.
