Review: 'Forever Plaid' brings back the age of harmony

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "Thomas Wolfe may have been right when he said you can't go home again.
But it is apparently possible to make repeat visits from the afterlife.
The Plaids did it in 2004 when they returned from their celestial hiatus when 'Forever Plaid' was the opening act for the then-new CLO Cabaret and stayed for 15 months. Three years later they brought 'Plaid Tidings' to the CLO Cabaret's Christmas season."

I am so happy that this show is being received well. Like I had said before I was lucky enough to experience this show back home when a local company performed it. I hope to go and see Plaid Tidings when it comes out in the season. Im glad that almost all the original members of the cast are back to perform it, I think that when I see shows and I know that; that it makes is all the more fun to see because you know the actors loved it enough to come back. I highly recommend this show for anyone who hasnt seen it, is a great feel good show.

I love this show and would really like to go see it. I've only ever seen a high school production of it, which was well performed, but it was high school quality and I would like to see a professional production. I like the show because it focuses on classic songs and music, and doesn't require a huge amount of spectacle, which is always cool, but not necessary for this show and would be quite out of place if it were included.

This sounds like a really cool show. I have never heard of it, which according to this article makes me a minority. The story sounds cute and definitely feel-good. What interests me is that the main characters are each part of a quartet which just makes me happy because I love quartets and harmonies. I think the dynamic of the show will be very welcoming and high energy due to the actors already knowing each other. I'm glad they're doing this show because who doesn't love plaid and harmonies?

This show was the first show I ever worked on outside of a high school production. I have extremely fond memories of it and I've always been dismayed not more people knew about it. I hope this production is part of a larger trend of revivals for lesser known (but still good) shows instead of shows that aren't necessarily good but everyone recognizes their names.
