L.A. Production Drops 14% in Third Quarter
Backstage: "Gains in on-location film and commercials production failed to offset a big third-quarter drop in TV shoots as filming across all categories of location-based production fell 14% in the period."

When I read articles like this, the first selfish thought that comes to mind is how there will be less selection for movies in the near future. I am happy things are picking up, but at the same time, I am not too happy that the next few quarters will have a smaller selection.
Secondly, I think that this is just another indication that the bad economy affected the entertainment industry, and like other parts of the economy, it is coming back. I would imagine those numbers will be on the rise soon, and we should all hope to see a bright future for LA.
