Playbill News: "Tharon Musser, who won Tony Awards for Best Lighting Design for the landmark shows Follies, A Chorus Line and Dreamgirls, has died after a long illness. She was 84."
This is so tragic, to lose one of the great lighting designers of the time. It is very fitting that the lights will be dimmed on Broadway this week. Her work was exceptional, as demonstrated by her many awards. Tharon Musser has done so much for the industry that she will be greatly missed.
