Post Gazette: "The 53rd annual festival, which was scheduled for May 1-2 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, has been canceled because of lack of funding."
It is a shame to see events like this cancelled because of the current political situation. Not only do events like this promote the arts on a smaller scale than bigger events with more funding, but are also one of the few times when communities have a chance to come together. While I am not familiar with this festival, they do a lot of similar events where I come from and it is one of the only occasions when the increasingly growing population gathers to do something together.
