7 deadly sins of networking, and how to avoid them
Manage Your Life on Shine: "At a time when nearly all of us are scrambling for opportunities and helping others to do the same, people are in networking overdrive. Not a day goes by that I don't get a few emails from friends seeking introductions to other friends. All that connecting carries a huge risk of mistakes and missteps. These are very helpful tips for social networking. With the idea of introductions, I always find facebook to be annoying when suggesting people. If I want to be friends with someone, I will find them on my own, or they can find me. Also the comment on middle-aged people not knowing how to use facebook made me laugh. My mom just got facebook and is very confused by all of it. I realize not all are this way, but it is still funny.
