Dremel Multi-Max Oscillating Tool, Bosch PS50 Oscillating Tool - Review
ToolSnob.com: "We're going to review these tools together because it seems that there are two questions to be answered here: 1) should I get an oscillating tool? and 2) which one should I get? The answer to the first question is a simple, yes. Of course you should get an oscillating tool."

I'm glad this tool is finally cheaper, and competive. And that you don't have to give up the amount of power because of it. Its a really useful tool, I wonder if HomeDepot has it yet...
I would worry about an 8 minute battery.. It just seems useless. Although, I guess if you're using the tool in the way they were during the review/initial testing, you're doing it wrong.
I'd like to see how the Dremel holds up over time.. I've had my rotary tool for at least 7 years and it's still happy.
I really like these tools. It's the kind of thing that when you need, you really can't use anything else. The prices are getting much better, and it will be interesting to see how that drives fein. That battery issue is... unfortunate.
I really like the Fein saw, and these sound pretty good, too. As far as cordless/corded goes, get the corded one. Small cordless handheld tools like these are usually a pain in the ass, being weaker and shorter lived. Why not get the corded version and not have to worry about it? It's not like you're going to need it often somewhere where there's nowhere to plug in.
Having seen the fein model in use multiple times in our shop, it looks like a worthwhile investment. The price difference between the different brands is a pull towards the cheaper models, but you need to consider the features as well. The cordless Bosch seems nice, but I am worried about the battery life.
I think it is so fantastic that a tool like this, of such complexity and obvious cost, can be made available at a cheaper rate.
I have had the advantage of owning a Dremel for several years and it is a fantastic tool. one of my favorite things about it is that it allows you to work in very small space and on a variety of different surfaces, not to mention its great versatility.
My dremel has been amazing living in an apartment trying to do rigging projects in my living room. Of course, I was pretty sure that someone was going to die or at least cut the wrong part off in the process. On the other hand, the Fein saw is really useful here in the shop, though its funny to watch people try to figure out how the blade should approach the work piece.
