STAGEORAMA! Kansas City is a boomtown when it comes to choices for theatergoers and actors

This is so strange.
I could see a lot of other Mid-size cities suddenly booming with theatrical activity; however I just never would have imagined Kansas City. With theatre costs as they are today and the price of simply renting a space in say chicago or new york, I can understand why theatre artists are bringing their game elsewhere. I just never imagined the audiences to follow.

Really? I guess if there is the money, performers don't really care that much as to where they are but still. I have a hard time imagining Kansas City as being an up and coming area for entertainment. I think the biggest issue in all of this is where does the audience come from? What could the draw be to this place? Its a bit....odd.

I also never would have thought of Kansas City has having a large theatre scene, but all the better. Maybe this trend of more theatre in mid-sized city's will be followed elsewhere.
