Hollywood may not be able to handle hard times
Reuters: "Although total domestic grosses for 2008 are running just 2% behind last year, that's thanks to the Christmas releases; the spring slate actually lagged 18% behind last year's numbers. Meanwhile, the specter of recession is bearing down on the United States, gas prices are rising and consumers are feeling the pinch."

This economic situation is effecting every aspect of peoples lives and not just entertainment. I read in the news paper, some people in this country can not afford health care and are very ill. I mean entertainment is the last of their concerns for these people. This country is so profit motivated and is losing the concept of entertainment more of an art. To captivate the audience with out spending $100 to see a show but even a $20 to see a show up to that par. Yea this is just what I think.
