Post Gazette: "As a way of ensuring quality children's programming for future generations, the Pittsburgh International Children's Theater is merging with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust."
This is a smart move for both organizations. Having worked for a few nonprofit organizations, I know that being able to financially function and maintain a mission is difficult. Even in rich nonprofit organizations there are sacrifices that must be made. Also, I've never attended anything from the Dance Council, but I've heard from many that it is incredible. Clearly the Dance Council benefited from the merge. The Children's Theater will benefit greatly from this.
