Live Design: "John Taylor is an educator with of d&b Audiotechnik. His session at the Broadway Sound Master Classes on Sunday, May 18 will focus on electroacoustics and achieving intelligibility."
Taylors points out that most engineers aren't aware of what is happening acoustically between audiences and the speakers. I think this is ultimately what separates gifted designers from intelligible designers. Anyone might know the system, but they don't know its ability to move the audience. I think this is also why its very important that most sound engineers should be musicians in order to gather the connection with the audience.
