The moody film starred Bette Davis, Ernest Borgnine, Debbie Reynolds and Barry Fitzgerald. The equally moody Broadway show, with music and lyrics by John Bucchino, stars Fierstein and two other Broadway stars, Faith Prince and Tom Wopat."
