Stage Preview: One man's 'Wonderful Life'

Post Gazette: "It started as the kind of goofy routine actors do for each other in the dressing room. For Mark Setlock, it was scenes from 'It's a Wonderful Life.'"

"It's a Wonderful Life" has got to be one of my favorite movies to watch at Christmas. Reading this article, I almost expected it to be structured vaguely like how Wooster Group is doing Hamlet, with the movie playing as they make commentary. But these sounds like it would be really interesting to see, especially to those who have a strong connection with the film. It would also provide perhaps a different outlook on the film, so that you watch it again, some new details might come to light.

"George Lassos the Moon!" ah, when I finish, I'll go watch it!

I too like Alana love this movie. It started the plot line where people die and then go back in time like so many movies today. I would be intrested in seeing this play but my only concern is that normally shows done by one guy are humorous and this movie is not a comedy. I feel like there would be too much comedy in one man running around and it would take away from the story. However, I would most definitely go see it if I had the chance.

I'm actually one of those people who have never seen "It's a Wonderful Life" or at least not all of it. Still I think the show would be interesting and if well performed I wouldn't need to have seen the film. I find the commentary that he gives about the film in his performance would be probably be the most capivating part.
