It's about time that we have a decent logo. I can remember being a freshmen and talking to people about how we did not have one. Now for CMU athletics, there is an emblem to cheer, not a font. I am glad they finally came up with something.
So much better than carnegie mellon tartans. i like the scottish terrier better. I like hte design a lot. Very simple. The dog kind of even looks like andrew carnegie
I never thought making a mascot took so much work. I guess I never really thought about it in general. I just sort of guessed that the mascot faries appeared when the school or team was created and POOF... But now that I have been proven wrong, and I think that the taskforce did good work. That is one ferocious and intimidating Scotty Dog.
It's a good looking design, but I didn't have a problem at all with the previous mascot. My high school's mascot was a tree, so I'm used to boring mascots. I'm also not a huge fan of Carnegie Mellon's athletic program, so I don't see the dire need to revamp the athletics with the new Tartan pavilion and mascot.
